The birthday arrangements are familiar; the feeling is still new. Four distinct Warped Stripe looks accompany a chorus about an unexpectedly moving welcome.

Hear the complete birthday story in the full song; this visual treatment uses its chorus as a short excerpt.
Watch the Video:
The birthday’s time and place were already familiar, and the narrator thought she would not cry. Still a Surprise gives the chorus a simple reversal: everyone arrives, and the feeling is fresh anyway. Their presence reaches her differently from the information that came beforehand.
LINE CHANGES SHAPE offers four complete looks within a converted planetarium room. A cotton romper gives way to a rib-knit midi dress, a tailored vest with culottes, and a lightweight knitted cocoon coat. The changing shapes accompany the same feeling rather than four separate stories.
A steady four-on-the-floor kick gives the chorus firm support, while an octave-jumping bass line answers between beats. Bright piano and guitar punctuation lift the melody into a two-bar synth hook, intended to keep the four-look phrase moving through its changes.
Desktop Wallpapers:
Wallpaper inspiration comes from the low matte dome, deep-plum walls and broad curves of the four-look concept.
