A driving licence finally arrives after some uncomfortable lessons. Confetti in My Pocket catches the joy of a small card that took a great deal of work.

Watch the Video:
A stalled engine beside the chemist and a instructor reaching for his brake make the opening of Confetti in My Pocket wonderfully specific. Learning has taken time. The final parking manoeuvre earns a tick, and eventually the little licence arrives: a small object with a long story behind it.
A friend has paper stars ready for the occasion. They scatter everywhere, turn up in pockets and survive the wait for the bus. The chorus holds onto the pleasure of earning something difficult. Further into the song, that new licence makes a modest seaside trip feel possible.
Elise Sky’s solo dance brings that pleased energy into a modern corridor. A structured blue jacket, short skirt and matching boots frame quick crossing palms and a buoyant bounce. The clean ceiling lights give each gesture room, and the final raised palm suits a celebration that has finally arrived. Bright piano accents and a buoyant nu-disco bass line suit the relief after all those lessons.
